The Problem
Julie Bennett Ballantyne, the owner of the old cafe gite & holiday cottage approached me to design her a fresh website to replace her existing site that was much in need of retirement. Her site was hosted on an aging & inflexible platform while simultaneously suffering from a suite of issues, including a lack of responsive design for mobile devices.
The Plan
Julie wanted a clean, elegant & uncluttered website that could be a base for renewed social media marketing activity planned to drive bookings. In detailed consultation, Julie resonated with a specialist holiday lettings WordPress theme that I curated for her called Hemma. In addition, we agreed that using a premium WordPress theme afforded us a quick development time while keeping the project costs down.
Development
Being in possession of a set of professional photos made of her gite was a real asset for Julie. Content from the old website was repurposed, enhanced and added upon. Julie was kept up to date with the evolving shape of her new site by way of live link. A new logo was created to revitalize overall branding.
